Dény Fontaine goes even further and designs the "Disability Law 2006" Pack - Dény/Ulna
In 2009, DÉNY FONTAINE, a subsidiary of Sécuridev, launched an Accessibility Pack to comply with the 2005 law on accessibility for people with disabilities, and more specifically with the decree of 17 May 2006 relating to the accessibility of ERP (Establishments Receiving the Public), facilities open to the public and residential buildings. Today, Dény Fontaine is drawing on the expertise of Cyclope to offer a PMR Pack* which combines
accessibility and anti-contamination: the “Disability Law 2006” Pack - Dény/Ulna.
Part of Article 10 of the decree of 1 August 2006 of the Disability Act is dedicated to door handles. It states that:
- the control devices must be easily graspable and operable in both the "standing" and "sitting" positions, as well as by a person who has difficulty grasping and rotating the wrist,
- the end of the door handles must be located more than 40 cm from a re-entrant angle of walls or any other obstacle to the approach of a wheelchair,
- the effort to open the door must be less than 5 kg, whether or not it is equipped with an automatic closing device,
- the control devices must be identifiable by visual or tactile contrast.
