A feat in the construction of the central kitchen of the CAT of Varize
Créacept, a design office specializing in collective and commercial catering in the Nord department, has completed the design and construction of a completely new kind of central kitchen with VP&A Architecture. Created for AFAEDAM (Family Association for Assistance to Disabled Children in the Messina Metropolitan Area) within the Varize Work Assistance Center (57), this kitchen combines ergonomic materials with the use of the latest technologies. This kitchen offers high added value for disabled companions who use it.

To carry out this project, CREACEPT carried out the project management missions with the VP&A Architecture firm and “Assistance with the opening” of the kitchen.
AFAEDAM thus has a central kitchen for educational purposes of 870m², designed according to the needs of disabled companion users, with a production capacity of 2 meals/day and an investment amount of €000 million excluding tax.
Economic performance that combines cutting-edge technologies, a high environmental quality approach and a high level of execution quality: touch controls, night cooking, hot and cold traceability, etc.
A rational and ergonomic tool designed with an omnipresent concern for detail, providing a judicious choice of materials, external and inter-premise transparency, signage, color codes by zones... Assets which make the central kitchen of the CAT of Varize, an exceptionally clear, reliable and sustainable tool.
To ensure the best possible conditions for opening the kitchen, CREACEPT carried out an "opening assistance" mission, the aim of which was to ensure that users took ownership of the tool, to reduce stress on the team, and to provide training in the use of the equipment, working methods and organisation.
