Summary for decision-makers

In a context where energy bills continue to rise, Veolia Habitat Services is positioning itself as a key player in helping boiler owners optimize their energy consumption. By offering a scrappage bonus, Veolia is providing additional assistance of up to €400 for the replacement of oil-fired boilers. This initiative, launched on May 16, primarily targets more than one million households with oil-fired boilers over 15 years old, encouraging them to adopt more efficient and environmentally friendly equipment. Veolia Habitat Services offers an additional bonus for the replacement of old oil boilers

In a context of constantly increasing energy bills, Veolia Habitat Services, a specialist in sustainable housing services for individuals, is strongly committed to helping its customers change their boiler and thus significantly reduce their consumption, regardless of the energy used: natural gas, propane gas or fuel oil.

Last April, Veolia Habitat Services already offered a scrappage bonus accessible to all gas boiler owners, granting additional benefits to those announced by GDF Suez.

Today, Veolia Habitat Services stands out once again by contributing to the fuel oil scrappage premium approved by the State**: additional aid of €100 for the purchase of a low-temperature boiler and €150 for a condensing boiler. This represents a saving of €200 for the consumer for a low-temperature oil boiler and €400 for a condensing oil boiler.

Implemented from May 16, this bonus will allow more than one million households with an oil boiler that is more than 15 years old to benefit from an additional discount for the purchase of new, more energy-efficient and less polluting equipment.

Another important advantage: the Veolia Habitat Services teams, present in all the major cities of France, offer a wide choice of boilers from major partner brands (Chaffoteaux, Cuenod, Elm Leblanc, Oertli, Viessmann, Vaillant, Saunier Duval…) as well as a whole range of associated services: installation, maintenance, upkeep, emergency intervention, etc. The customer can therefore be sure of a high-performance and reliable installation benefiting from the latest technological innovations in heating and hot water production.

(Announced by Eric Besson, Minister of Energy, on April 21, the scrappage premium for oil boilers over 15 years old is financed by domestic fuel oil distributors who have signed an agreement with the State. Its amount is €100 for a low-temperature boiler and €250 for a condensing boiler. A similar scheme was implemented on April 1 for gas boilers, financed by GDF Suez. The objective is to encourage the renewal of older equipment that consumes a lot of energy and pollutes. Over the past year, the price of domestic fuel oil has increased by more than 21% and that of gas by more than 20%. France has approximately 25 million individual gas and oil boilers.)

Details and terms

The scrappage bonus for oil-fired boilers over 15 years old offered by Veolia Habitat Services accompanies the state-approved bonus with an additional discount granted immediately upon purchase of the new equipment; i.e. a bonus of €100 for the purchase of a low-temperature boiler and €150 for a condensing boiler.

Supported directly by Veolia Habitat Services, this bonus therefore complements the assistance offered by fuel oil distributors participating in the scheme: €100 for low temperature and €250 for condensation, paid to the customer in one go or in the form of a credit note.

Ultimately, with the Veolia Habitat Services bonus, the customer benefits from a discount of €200 for a low-temperature boiler and €400 for a condensing boiler.. In addition, it is compatible with the 13% tax credit granted by the State on the price of a condensing oil boiler.

To benefit from the fuel oil scrappage bonus, simply request a quote from the Veolia Habitat Services agency closest to your home and have the installation carried out between May 16 and December 31, 2011 (according to the terms defined by the State).

Reminder: Veolia Habitat Services gas boiler scrappage bonus: up to €300 for a condensing gas boiler

The scrappage premium for Veolia Habitat Services gas boilers offers many advantages that differentiate it from the official scrappage premium :

  • It is aimed at all owners of natural gas and propane gas boilers (and not just GDF Suez subscribers).
  • It is paid regardless of the age of the boiler to be changed (over 15 years at GDF Suez).
  • It is immediately deducted from the quote and not deferred on future gas bills: €300 for the purchase of a condensing boiler and €100 for a low-temperature boiler.
  • It comes with a free financing offer, which allows you to spread the payment over 10 months, without any fees.

The bonus is compatible with the 13% tax credit granted by the State on the price of a condensing gas boiler.

To benefit from this scrappage bonus, simply request a quote from the agency closest to your home, accept the quote between April 1 and June 30, 2011, and have the installation carried out before September 30, 2011.
