Viega Advantix Vario, a shower drain channel ideal for renovations

Viega Advantix Vario is the first shower drain on the market that can be shortened to the nearest millimeter. This makes it ideal for any installation, especially for renovation projects.

Designed by the Darmstadt design office Artefakt Industriekultur, the linear drain also impresses with its clean design, which allows for particularly discreet integration into a tiled floor thanks to a drain grate that is just 4 mm wide.

A “Design Plus powered by ISH” award has already been awarded to highlight the technical and aesthetic qualities of this Viega innovation.

The 120 cm long installation body and the ribbed Advantix Vario grate can be shortened to the nearest millimetre to any length up to 30 cm. This flexibility offers bathroom professionals considerable freedom when building walk-in showers, but also allows retailers and tradespeople to optimise their storage logistics.

Viega Advantix Vario can thus be described as a shower drain for all applications. With it, custom-made products are now a thing of the past.

Particularly discreet evacuation

Measuring just 20 mm wide, the inlet joint is highlighted by the integrated grid in its center in shiny or brushed matt stainless steel. The drain disappears from the user's view thanks to the minimalist shape of the channel. Once the tiler has passed, only a thin slot is visible through which the wastewater drains. This slot can be integrated into the polished chamfer of the tiles or into a closing rail.

Installation to the millimeter

The installation body, made of chemical-resistant special plastic, is open on both sides and can be shortened to the nearest millimeter, just like the ribbed grille. With the included sawing template, shortening is child's play, even on the construction site. Cover caps elegantly conceal the contact areas of the grille.

The product's flexibility also extends to the installation height. Continuously adjustable feet allow the upper edge of the shower drain to be precisely adjusted to the floor height between 95 and 150 mm. Continuously height-adjustable supports facilitate the grate's adjustment.

Durable waterproofing

Viega's designers also focused on the secure and perfectly watertight closure of the grooved profile. The cover caps, equipped with a double-lip seal, ensure a perfect seal immediately upon installation. They are then screwed in invisibly and guarantee stability. This completely prevents water from entering.

Self-cleaning drain

A removable strainer for cleaning prevents hair from entering the drain and pipe. In addition, the new shower drain is equipped with the self-cleaning Advantix drain. This flat drain has been successfully used for several years in various Viega wastewater solutions. Due to its special construction and the wastewater flow rate, dirt has no chance of settling in the drain body. No special cleaning is therefore necessary.

Measuring 120 cm in length as standard, the Viega Advantix Vario shower channel offers, at its lowest installation height and with a water height of just 10 millimeters, a drainage capacity of 24 liters per minute. This capacity is also sufficient to drain powerful wellness showers.
