The interclima+ elec trade show will be held in mid-February. Viega will welcome visitors to its stand to showcase its latest technological innovations, including its crimping technology, which recently received ATG certification from Certigaz.

Viega, the benchmark in the field of sanitary and heating installations, present at interclima+élec

From 9 to 12 February, Viega, the world market leader in press fitting technology and one of the world's leading suppliers of products for sanitary and heating systems, will welcome visitors to its stand (K 75, Hall 7.3) at the interclima+élec trade fair.

This presence will be an opportunity to highlight some of Viega's main references in the field of distribution systems, technical partitions and evacuation.

Above all, Viega will take the opportunity to present its crimping technique, which is particularly economical and safe. It should be remembered that Last summer, Profipress G received ATG certification from CERTIGAZ for the use of its copper and bronze fittings in gas installations.

Pipes in buildings now completely safe

Compared to the conventional soldering technique, the pressing technique is much more economical and safer: the execution time per fitting (depending on the nominal diameter) is reduced by 30 to 50% and preparation and finishing work are no longer necessary, as are fire protection work, given the absence of a flame. The Profipress copper fittings program has thus quickly established itself as the standard for heating and sanitary installations.

Since summer 2009, Viega has been able to offer this cost-effective technology for the entire domestic installation, including gas installations.

This makes it possible to produce all piping systems for a building in sizes from 12 to 54 mm and even in intermediate sizes of 14, 15 and 16 mm with the same crimping tool. Viega has also certified the JPG and JPC threaded fittings, so the entire range of fittings is complete for natural gas installations.

All Profipress G fittings also have a common safety feature in terms of construction: the SC-ConturThis allows any crimping that may have been forgotten by mistake to be detected during the leak test, particularly in gas installations, where safety is fundamental. This ensures that any crimping is carried out correctly and perfectly leak-proof from the outset.

The HNBR seal, which is used in fittings with yellow marking and was developed specifically for use in gas installations, contributes to this. It is resistant to ozone and hydrocarbons, making it ideal for gas pipes and has been proven for many years in all European countries.

This has also been proven in the context of in-depth inspections to which all the fittings were subjected. These inspections have shown that the mechanical assembly of Profipress G fittings is significantly more resistant than that of all other assembly techniques, in particular welding.

Viega system supplier: many years of experience in pressing technology

Around two decades ago, Viega was the first manufacturer to bring copper pressing technology to maturity worldwide with its Profipress range. Based on over 100 years of experience in the development and production of fittings, among other things, the system idea played a decisive role: with the aim of achieving the highest possible safety in terms of workmanship and reliability, the pipe, fittings, fittings, and threaded connections were precisely matched to each other and tested as a system. The yellow-marked Profipress G program has already been certified for many years for gas installations in most European countries, North America, and Australia.
