Summary for decision-makers

On Wednesday, April 16 at 14:30 p.m., a community waste collection event will take place at Sables Blancs beach, open to all environmentally conscious volunteers. Initiated by committed sailor Adrien Simon, this operation is part of a project aimed at raising awareness of eco-responsibility and combating pollution, with the support of FAUN, whose equipment is designed to generate less noise and greenhouse gas emissions.

The goal is to mobilize a wide audience around concrete environmental initiatives throughout the 2025 BENETEAU Figaro Circuit. FAUN will provide an electric cargo bike, CYCLONÉA, to facilitate waste collection, which can carry up to 300 kg and moves easily in urban areas. At the same time, Adrien Simon and Chloé Le Bars are preparing for the Transat Paprec, an iconic sporting challenge that combines performance and environmental commitment. The duo, with their previous experience, aims to stand out against high-level competition, thus embodying the team values and self-improvement that are dear to FAUN.

Before setting off on the famous Transat Paprec, which will take place from April 20 to May 15, skipper Adrien Simon and his partner FAUN, a major player in waste collection and urban cleanliness solutions, are joining forces for a major clean-up on the Sables Blancs beach in Concarneau.

FAUN and Adrien Simon: an alliance for ecological innovation and sports performance

The event will take place on Wednesday, April 16 at 14:30 p.m. and will be open to all volunteers: residents, associations, communities, sailors, etc. Anyone who wishes to get involved in preserving the environment is invited to come and participate in this civic action.

A strong partnership for the environment

This collective collection operation is part of a larger project aimed at promoting eco-responsibility and protecting the planet, both on land and at sea. FAUN, whose equipment is known for generating less noise and fewer greenhouse gas emissions, supports Adrien Simon in his approach as a committed sailor. The skipper, particularly sensitive to the issues of marine pollution, emphasizes:

" Every minute, 19 tons of plastic waste are dumped into the oceans. As a citizen and sailor, it is essential for me to protect our playground.". And to detail: " This mobilization on the Sables Blancs beach marks the launch of a series of environmental initiatives carried out with FAUN throughout the Circuit Figaro BENETEAU 2025, with the ambition of uniting an ever-wider public around concrete actions.

High-performance equipment for the operation

For this collection, FAUN is providing a CYCLONÉA cargo bike. Compact, maneuverable, and 100% electric, CYCLONÉA was designed to facilitate waste collection in urban centers, moving safely among pedestrians. With a payload of up to 300 kg, a volume of 1,2 m³, and a range of 80 km, it allows for rapid dumping of waste in less than 20 seconds, directly into a household waste bin. Equipped with innovative technology, CYCLONÉA has a wireless remote control for raising and lowering the bin, a drain valve, a sleeve for shovels and brooms, as well as side gates held open for optimal use.

CYCLONÉA thus responds to the challenges of urban cleanliness while being part of a soft mobility approach.

Transat Paprec: a duo committed to performance

On April 20, Adrien Simon will set sail with Chloé Le Bars to compete in the Transat Paprec, a mixed doubles Atlantic crossing between Concarneau and Saint-Barthélemy, covering nearly 4 nautical miles.

A benchmark race in the world of sailing, the Transat Paprec is a high-flying sporting challenge that demands endurance, strategic precision, and crew cohesion. Facing a fleet composed of the best sailing tandems, the duo will have to demonstrate rigor, determination, and perseverance.

Having been engaged in demanding preparation for several months, Adrien and Chloé are building on a successful first experience in a double-handed race during the Plastimo Lorient Mini 2023, where they secured third place. Their onboard camaraderie, their discipline, and their ability to face the most extreme situations together will be major assets in this transatlantic adventure.

« I can't wait to take part in this legendary race. The duo with Chloé works wonderfully, and our goal is clear: give it our all to reach the podium. ", confides Adrien Simon, determined to transform this adventure into a performance. An enthusiasm shared by his co-skipper Chloé Le Bars: " I'm really excited to be taking part in the Transat Paprec for a second time. Adrien and I know each other well; we've sailed together before. This understanding will be a real asset during the race. The idea is to have fun, make good strategic choices, while avoiding mistakes that could penalize us. The level is high, the competition tough, but we're ready to give it our all during these 18 to 20 days at sea. ! »

And Etienne Blaise, president of FAUN Environnement, added:

« We are hopeful that our boat will be among the first to arrive in Saint-Barthélemy due to the quality of the duo who will be piloting it, composed of Adrien Simon and Chloé Le Bars, their complicity, their knowledge of the boat, their physical and mental preparation and their experience of a first Atlantic crossing. »

A loyal partner of Adrien Simon, FAUN rediscovers in this sporting challenge the values that drive it every day: a taste for performance, team spirit, self-improvement, and a constant desire to progress. This support embodies a strong alliance between technological innovation, environmental responsibility, and sporting ambition. The Transat Paprec promises to be a moment of total commitment, where each mile traveled will be the expression of a shared effort, driven by common convictions.
