An expert in rainwater and wastewater collection solutions for the construction and public works sectors, Wavin prioritizes training its partners' teams. The international expansion of its training centers has given rise to a new concept: the Wavin Academy. The manufacturer aims to establish training centers in all the countries where it operates.

Wavin reinvents its training center

As part of the rollout of this new international concept, Wavin France has completely redesigned its Wavin Academy training center located in Auvergne, at its headquarters in Varennes-sur-Allier (03). After several months of studies and work, the Wavin Academy will open its doors in the fall of 2021 and will provide advanced training sessions in a perfectly adapted setting.

As an extension of the training courses previously offered at its Technopole center, the Wavin Academy offers theoretical and technical training in a completely new setting where a large part of the space is dedicated to the practical application of Wavin solutions.

Tailor-made training to share Wavin know-how

With more than 600 m2 spread over 2 buildings, the new Wavin Academy center has been designed to adapt to all training configurations: amphitheater, practical workshops for public works and construction solutions, pits for practical application of public works solutions, etc.

The Wavin Academy offers accessible, clear, and fun training to all stakeholders involved in the decision-making and implementation chains: project managers, project owners, public works and construction companies, distributors, and installers (plumbers, heating engineers, etc.). It meets the training needs of the manufacturer's partners to ensure the smooth running of construction sites. Wavin provides practical instruction in workshops that reproduce construction site environments as they are practiced in real life.

At the heart of this new center, a comprehensive overview is provided of Wavin solutions for Public Works (polypropylene pipes, retention basins, Tegra inspection boxes and manholes, road drains, etc.) and for Construction (hydrodistribution, multi-layer fittings, heated floors, climate ceilings, heating control systems, multi-connectors, etc.). The products are physically present for viewing and touching.

The rollout of the Wavin Academy demonstrates the manufacturer's commitment to supporting its partners. From training to site monitoring, from product recommendations to implementation, the Wavin design and sales office teams strive to develop close relationships with their partners at every stage of the project.

At the heart of the Wavin Academy, on-site or remotely via Teams or webinars, the Wavin teams are constantly dedicated to training construction and public works professionals for the technical implementation of solutions in accordance with best practice and in compliance with regulatory and legislative frameworks.

That's why every Wavin partner can call on the Wavin Academy teams to request the implementation of customized training at the manufacturer's headquarters, at the customer's premises, or directly on the construction site. Ideally located in the heart of France in the Auvergne region, the Wavin Academy is very easy to access thanks to its proximity to Vichy and Clermont-Ferrand.

Training for the actors of tomorrow

Because students are the future of the sector, Wavin also offers training sessions at CFA TP such as the CFA d'Egletons and CFA de Mallemort. In 2020, despite the unique health context, 150 students were trained by Wavin. These training courses complemented those of 400 professionals in the Public Works and Construction sectors. For perfect supervision and ideal support, Wavin Academy training sessions are delivered on average over 2 days.
