Wienerberger, the world's leading brickmaker, successfully completed the'combining two of its innovations, the CLIMAmur® brick and the DRYFIX® process, for even more'effectiveness. Confirmed by the'obtaining the'Technical Notice (16/15-722), this association allows combining the qualities of'insulation and d'CLIMAmur® inertia with the speed and ease of installation of DRYFIX®.

CLIMAmur® and DRYFIX®: the new couple that will cause a sensation

Optimized thermal performance

CLIMAmur® terracotta brick and DRYFIX® implementation binder ideally meet multiple site requirements, with consistently high competitiveness and optimal installation comfort for sites that can be carried out at temperatures down to -5°C.

• Presented in 0,75 liter cartridges, DRYFIX®, a single-component, ultra-fast setting foam binder, is dedicated to the horizontal bonding of Porotherm rectified bricks; DRYFIX® stands out for its competitiveness on site, as well as for its qualities in improving working conditions and respect for the environment. With its extremely high adhesive strength, it ensures the construction of load-bearing walls in all types of buildings up to R+1+attic. Quick and easy to use, remember that DRYFIX® generates a time saving of approximately 50% compared to masonry carried out with a trowel and 30% for Rolled Masonry®.

• A self-supporting and self-insulating solution, the CLIMAmur® brick does not require any additional insulation lining thanks to its high thermal inertia. The combination of terracotta (100% natural) and rock wool (100% mineral) in the CLIMAmur® range contributes to air quality for a healthy, mold-free home, with sustainably protected mineral insulation and a stable temperature for pleasant comfort in both winter and summer. Fully compliant with RT 2012 and anticipating the standards planned for positive energy housing (Bepos), Wienerberger offers a complete CLIMAmur® range in 30, 36 and 42 cm widths.

CLIMAmur® and DRYFIX® display innovative high thermal performance

CLIMAmur® 30 - R = 4.05 m².K / W

CLIMAmur® 36 - R = 4.88 m².K / W

CLIMAmur® 42 - R = 5.71 m².K / W

Finally, let us point out that the CLIMAmur®/DRYFIX® combination is possible in seismic zones; it is simply necessary to apply 4 DRYFIX® binder cords instead of the usual 2 cords.

Obtaining this Technical Assessment confirms once again the commitment strategy of Wienerberger aiming always more comfort, quality and competitiveness.
