An organization serving the aluminum industry

Created to represent professionals in the aluminum joinery sector, the SNFA It brings together all the stakeholders involved in the design, manufacture and implementation of aluminium solutions for buildings. Its scope notably covers windows, façades, verandas, pergolas, doors, railings and demountable partitions.

This diversity allows the trade association to bring together both system designers and manufacturers and installation companies. The goal is to foster a common approach to the technical, regulatory, and environmental challenges facing the industry.

Seven sections to represent the professions in the sector

The SNFA's organization is based on seven specialized sections that cover the main areas of aluminum joinery. These include activities related to windows and facades, verandas and pergolas, system designers, partitions, railings, windows and doors, as well as associated suppliers and consultants.

This structure allows for the consideration of the specificities of each profession while developing common positions on technical or regulatory issues. It also facilitates the sharing of experience between the various stakeholders in the value chain.

One of the SNFA's historical missions is to develop and promote best practices applicable to the aluminum joinery trades. The construction sector must now meet growing expectations regarding carbon footprint reduction. In this context, the SNFA participates in national working groups dedicated to the environmental assessment of buildings and the development of tools to better measure the impact of aluminum joinery.

The union also intervenes on issues related to aluminum recycling, environmental and health declaration sheets (FDES) as well as the integration of environmental criteria in construction and renovation projects.

Beyond technical aspects, the SNFA contributes to the development of initial, professional, and continuing training programs for careers in the aluminum industry. This approach aims to support companies' skills needs and promote workforce renewal in a sector facing recruitment challenges.
