BATIMAT 2026: Closura focuses on modular aluminum outdoor shelters

A modular design to meet different outdoor uses

At Batimat 2026, Closura is highlighting an evolving approach to outdoor shelters. The O'Vent range brings together several applications based on the same custom-made aluminum structure: pergola , patio cover , covered area, awning, carport, solar carport, or even summer box.

The structures can be installed in a freestanding version or attached to a building. The posts are fixed to base plates or sealed according to site constraints, allowing the installation to be adapted to various configurations in both new construction and renovation projects.

Preserve natural light while limiting solar gain.

One of the challenges of covered outdoor spaces is to protect occupants from rain and solar radiation without creating an enclosed volume.

To address this issue, Closura offers a glass roof treated against UV rays on both sides. Depending on the terrace's orientation and the desired level of protection, this roof can be complemented by load- bearing aluminum rafters designed to modulate solar gain.

The design combines a spine-shaped rafter with an insulated upper clamp to help limit condensation. This configuration maintains good levels of natural light while reducing the effects of intense sunlight during the hottest periods.

Standard modules are available up to 3,580 mm wide , 7,200 mm deep , and 2,950 mm high under the gutter . For larger projects, several structures can be joined together or custom-made.

Openwork closures to protect without partitioning

The O'Vent range can also accommodate aluminum side closures made of horizontal trapezoidal slats that can be tilted up to 90°. These panels can be installed along the entire height of the structure or only on a portion of it.

Their non-contiguous placement reduces overlooking, limits lateral exposure to sun or wind and delimits a terrace while maintaining natural air circulation and some light.

The installation is based on a profile fixed directly to the existing structure or building. Beyond a depth of 3,400 mm , an intermediate post is required to ensure the stability of the entire assembly.

The same structure for multiple layout configurations

Closura's construction approach allows for the adaptation of the same technical base to suit the project's needs. The choice between opaque or glazed roofs, freestanding or attached structures, and open or partially opaque walls allows the installation to be adapted to different residential contexts.

This modularity allows, in particular, the construction of a carport, a covered terrace or a new outdoor living space without changing the construction system.

The structure also includes a recess under the gutter allowing for the optional integration of a perimeter LED strip and a cooling diffuser. These components remain integrated into the structure without altering its aesthetics.

The shelters are available in several finishes, including frosted anthracite grey RAL 7016 , frosted white RAL 9010 and frosted Bazalt black . Other colours may be offered depending on the configuration.
