DENY SECURITY equips the Les Jardins Argentés EHPAD
Summary for decision-makers
Welcome to the Les Jardins Argentés residence, located in Annœullin near Lille, where we welcome able-bodied and dependent seniors, couples or individuals. Our residence is part of the GCMS Grand Lille, a group of independent public nursing homes in Hauts-de-France, which allows us to best meet the needs of our residents.
Our residence, with a surface area of 3 m², has conventional EHPAD accommodation spread over three aisles, as well as an Alzheimer's Living Unit with its adapted activity and care center. Each sector has all the spaces essential to the comfort and well-being of the occupants, such as dining rooms, rest and activity lounges, terraces and gardens, as well as a hair salon. We also have offices, kitchens, a laundry room and technical rooms, access to which is strictly reserved for the 385 agents working on the site (administrative staff, care team, hotel and catering services).
To ensure the safety of our residents, we have opted for Dény Security access control solutions. We have replaced our old mechanical access control system with state-of-the-art electronic solutions, such as Optimal Hand V2 electronic handles in the Large version, éO panic locks with 1 locking point of the Push Bar type and a Logyca Mifare wired wall reader. This new installation allows us to assign badges with specific access authorization to each member of staff according to their activity, while respecting the obligations governing Establishments Receiving the Public type J.
We are fully satisfied with this installation, which offers great solidity and simplified maintenance, and we appreciate the support offered by the Dény Security hotline, which accompanies us during the commissioning and always remains available to help us if necessary.
We are convinced that these access control solutions allow our residents to move safely inside and outside the facility, while preserving their freedom of movement. This is why we have also equipped the EHPAD in Boeschepe and plan to do the same for the EHPAD in Marchiennes.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or for more information about our residence.
Sincerely,
The team at the Les Jardins Argentés residence.
Located in Annœullin near Lille, the Les Jardins Argentés residence welcomes able-bodied and dependent elderly people, whether living alone or as a couple. As part of the GCMS Grand Lille, a group of independent public EHPADs in Hauts-de-France, it has opted for Dény Security access control solutions to ensure the security of their movements inside and outside the establishment.
Resident safety ensured with DENY SECURITY access control solutions
With an area of 3.385 m2, the Les Jardins Argentés residence brings together conventional EHPAD accommodation spread over three walkways (Jonquilles on the ground floor, Desreux and Lilas on the 1st floor) and an Alzheimer's Living Unit (UVA) with its activity and adapted care center (PASA).
Each sector has all the spaces essential to the comfort and well-being of the occupants: dining room, rest and activity lounge, terraces/garden, hairdressing salon, etc. In addition, there are offices, kitchens, laundry rooms and technical rooms, access to which is strictly reserved for the 58 agents who work on the site (administrative staff, healthcare team, hotel and catering services).
Until then equipped with a mechanical access control system, the EHPAD experienced numerous management problems related to lost keys. In the spring of 2020, he decided to rethink the establishment's security and approached the company EDSC, an installer who had been working for 12 years on three of the GCMS sites in the region. The latter advised them to call on Dény Security who,
« beyond the manufacturer's reputation and the reliability of the products, offers real support throughout the project " explains Nicolas Hennion, manager of the EDSC company.
In order to comply with the obligations governing Type J Public Establishments (structures welcoming elderly people) while taking into account the circulation needs of both residents and professionals, all sensitive access points are now secured with:
- 55 Optimal Hand V2 electronic handles in Large version, covered with a black cover, on the interior doors of technical rooms, storage areas, offices... They are equipped with a DF mechanical cylinder with European profile to switch, if necessary, to degraded mode and thus still be able to open using a general pass. Operating in controlled entry and free exit, this solution made it possible to assign badges with specific access authorization to each member of staff according to their activity. Programming and deactivation in the event of loss are carried out simply via the Logyca Mifare software by an authorized person, previously trained by Dény Security,
- 1 Logyca Mifare wired wall reader at the entrance to the secretariat to activate/deactivate the alarm,
- 3 eO panic locks with 1 locking point, Push Bar type, located on the doors of the external premises (boiler room, garden room and TGBT). For secure access from outside, they have a mechanical operation with handle and locking by DF cylinder using the general master key.
The installation, carried out last autumn, gives complete satisfaction to Ghislain Hochain, technical manager of two EHPADs of the GCMS Grand Lille: " In an establishment where some accesses have at least 60 passages per day, it is essential to have durable equipment such as the Optimal Hand V2 crutches. In addition to their rock-solid strength, they are remarkably simple to maintain, especially since an indicator on the crutch alerts us in the event of a low battery. ».
The latter, like the EDSC company, finally appreciates the Dény Security hotline which accompanied them during the commissioning and always remains available to support them, if necessary, in resolving technical problems.
This is why GCMS Grand Lille did not hesitate to also equip the Boeschepe EHPAD with 65 Optimal Hand crutches in the Slim version and two Logyca Mifare HiSec wall readers. The Marchiennes EHPAD should follow suit soon.
