Marseille, March 10-11, 2026 – Gathered at Parc Chanot, Gedicoop members, suppliers, and partners celebrated another edition of the largest independent trade show. With over 2,900 visitors and 400 exhibitors, this 2026 edition confirmed a strong three-pronged ambition: to modernize its marketing and digital approach, strengthen its industry expertise, and invest in its logistical interdependence.
Gedicoop 2026: A trade fair focused on the future, innovation and renovation
Driven by exceptional collective energy, Gedicoop made its 2026 show a demonstration of a proud, ambitious and dynamic network.
Structured into themed villages, this trade fair aims to inspire entrepreneurship through:
- highlighting its generalist network focused on renovation,
- the development of specializations or expertise,
- the commercial boost of self-service stores,
- and marketing, digital and financial support to meet the needs of a future market that is struggling to find its momentum.
Emphasis was also placed on trade show purchases, allowing members to make savings across all product categories to get their season off to a good start.
To better address the renovation market and DIY enthusiasts, retailers' communication strategies have been redesigned around customer/salesperson proximity and improved integration between the various brand support mechanisms.
The year 2026 marks the beginning of a major logistical shift for Gedicoop, Frédéric Ondet, Chairman of the Board, took the opportunity to confirm the construction of a 3rd modern and efficient logistics site, owned and operated by the company.
A strong cooperative network that reinforces its leading position
As of January 1, 2026, the Gedicoop network comprises 540 points of sale across its three brands: 481 Gedimat stores (including 22 in Belgium and 13 Gedimat Concept Stores) and 59 Gedibois stores. This confirms its extensive network and vitality throughout the country, despite the economic climate.
While the sector is more or less recovering its 2019 sales figures, Gedicoop, bolstered by the greater resilience of its members, saw its French sales front grow by 7% on a like-for-like basis over the same period, and by more than 17% on a consolidated basis thanks to the numerous memberships/acquisitions and creations that occurred particularly during the last 18 months, representing a net contribution of €115 million.
With a turnover of 2,3 billion euros excluding VAT as of January 1, 2026, it confirms its position as the leading group of independent traders in these complicated times.
Enhanced expertise at the service of members
Self-Service Village: Commercial Performance and New Private Labels
The self-service village illustrated the commercial dynamism of the group by offering its solutions designed to boost the performance of the LS universe. With a target of 20% of its activity compared to 15% currently and more or less 10% in the profession, members were able to discover the current commercial operations and the new product selections:
• A new milestone reached in private label with 3 new own brands Gedicoop creates the brands BATI Expert 360, TechTeam Professionnel and Artisio, These brands are strong drivers of differentiation and preference. Developed through collaborative work with members and responding to a demand for professional quality in the structural work, finishing work, consumables, and decoration sectors, they have been showcased in highly regarded product testing areas. Their development and rollout will continue gradually over the next two to three years.
• Also new on the PPE market, represented in an innovative way: a show in "Fashion Week" mode made a lasting impression by combining partner brands and promotional activities. The objective is simple: to become a strong player in PPE and consolidate Gedicoop's position in this segment.

With the addition of Drouaire Bois (77), Gedibois, boasting nearly 60 outlets and over €300 million in revenue, confirms its momentum and position as the leading independent retailer of timber and wood products. Its village has demonstrated a clear commitment to accelerating its appeal through increased expertise and the expansion of the brand's four core businesses:
-
Timber construction and insulation.
-
Interior design.
-
Exterior landscaping.
-
The signs.
The Gedibois teams, along with the network's industry experts, presented the various showroom models and stock layouts developed by the committee. The trade show also highlighted the importance of service development, particularly in the installation and management of specialized cutting workshops, essential for meeting the growing needs of diverse professional woodworking clients.
A visible symbol of this shared energy: the basketball partnership with the LNB gives national visibility to the brand dedicated to wood in the Gedicoop network.
Village Specialities: expanding and specializing the product and service offering
While strengthening its network of "rural" generalist stores remains a priority (55% of its points of sale), Gedicoop is convinced that the future of trading also lies, in many urban or peri-urban areas, in strengthening professional expertise or even specialization. To support this development, the group is structuring itself to better leverage its skills through three concepts: PPI, Roofing and Public Works.
Gedicoop aims to have more than 50 specialized points of sale by 2026. The trade fair therefore largely showcased these specialties.
The Specialties Village for PPI, Roofing and Public Works allowed members to appreciate the work carried out to support this development and its deployment, and to discover:
-
A complete model for each of the 3 specialties.
-
Dedicated self-service areas for each of them, meeting the needs of the targeted professions and strengthening the expertise of the points of sale.
-
A selection of the latest innovations and solutions offered by manufacturers to meet the challenges of energy performance (bio-based insulation, solar tiles, etc.).
Renovation and training: skills development and strategic support
Faced with the difficulties of new construction, renovation is the key for the next 20 years. As a key player in the renovation sector, Gedicoop can rely on the expertise of its consultants and aims to be a major driver of innovation. The Renovation area showcased the manufacturers involved and the most innovative solutions.
-
Demonstrations and practical workshops highlighted the assembly of plastered facades, external thermal insulation under wood cladding and the renovation of old floors.
-
A spotlight was shone on HVAC solutions, roof systems and external insulation.
To support the renovation and to help the teams develop their skills, Gedicoop has also opened three sales and management schools as well as dedicated training sites in the region.
The trade fair sets an example in showcasing the innovations of its industrial partners and has highlighted:
-
The winners of the Zepros Réno Trophies, of which Gedimat is a partner, and the Inoha 2025 Trophies. These innovative players spoke to share their vision and solutions with the network.

Village Gedex Services: a collective in support of the network
The Gedex Services teams were on hand to present the support solutions and the latest modernized marketing, HR, finance and digital tools to boost sales outlets and simplify daily operations.
Expertise and mastery of financial tools make all the difference.
To support the network, the group's finance teams and financial partners (BPI, LCL, Socorec, Crédit Coopératif, Au Group, Allianz Trade, Creditsafe, Kresus…) were mobilized to discuss with members their development and sustainability projects.
Support solutions dedicated to renovation projects and the opening of new points of sale, as well as mechanisms for strengthening the equity needed to get through these difficult times, were presented:

These different topics were developed during conferences and numerous meetings with members, who appreciated these times of exchange, rich in information and solutions.
A strengthened e-commerce strategy,
dedicated to performance and customer proximity
In a rapidly evolving digital retail market, Gedicoop is accelerating its e-commerce strategy. This momentum bore fruit in 2025, notably with the increase in requests for quotes (more than 20,000) to develop the turnover of members.
The Gedimat.fr website has undergone significant improvements, allowing it to surpass 6 million annual visits.Automatic connection to the nearest point of sale has doubled the traffic connected to a store, thus facilitating drive-to-store traffic. The professional space has been redesigned as a true dashboard, centralizing all sales documents. Finally, national sales promotions on the days of France's rugby matches reinforce this new momentum to boost the appeal of Gedimat.fr.
In 2026, innovative features like "Express Plasterboard Installation" will offer a first-of-its-kind purchasing experience by project. Meanwhile, the widespread adoption of shopping lists should allow professionals to save valuable time on their orders and quotes.
The new Gedimat and Gedibois web applications in the Android and Apple App Stores will make Gedicoop a local partner, available in the pocket of its customers.
These developments confirm Gedicoop's ambition to assert its identity as a leader in independent trading, combining local presence and digital innovation.
Authentic communication and increased visibility
serving strong brands
Gedicoop's strength also lies in the strength of its brands and the pride of belonging of its teams.
This year, Gedibois, already visible on the courts of the French Basketball Championships through its partnership with the LNB, is offering itself a high visibility on television thanks to the sponsorship of the All Star Game, the Leaders Cup and the playoffs. These three major events in French basketball, broadcast free-to-air on the L'Équipe channel, attract up to 800,000 viewers.
For Gedimat, 2026 will mark a A major turning point in its communication strategyWhile Gedimat is a well-known brand, too many people still believe its outlets are only for construction professionals. To address this, the communication strategy has been revamped and now focuses on the breadth of its offering, its proximity, advice and welcome. It can be summed up in one sentence: "Our priority: the success of your project and your smile."
For optimal visibility, Gedimat can count on:
-
The Six Nations Tournament It sponsors broadcasts on France 2 and TF1 with record ratings (7,2 million viewers for the France-Ireland opening match on Thursday, February 5). This operation provides the brand with significant exposure during the key months of February and March.
-
The Champions Cup, European rugby club cup on France TV which runs from December to May.
-
My House from A to Z short programs dedicated to renovation and sponsored by the brand, broadcast from March to July.
In 2026, to better capture the renovation market and attract self-renovators, The "My Home from A to Z" program is now called "My Home from A to Z, the Renovation Challenge".
he is :
-
Reinforced by a web series, hosted by Paulo & Lulu and filmed in about ten points of sale. It will be broadcast throughout the year on gedimat.fr and YouTube.
-
More efficient, resolutely focused on innovation and improving housing, it must stimulate the completion of work and the attractiveness of Gedimat.
-
Highly visible with the arrival on TF1, the leading channel in Europe in strategic time slots for the brand. With 20 weeks of broadcasting, every Sunday at 11am and 19:50pm, and 8 weeks on Saturday evenings at 20:30pm, Gedimat is expanding and rejuvenating its audience.
With strong messages, a strong identity and more powerful tools, the Gedicoop collective shows a sincere, bold and modern face.
The show not only demonstrated the network's performance, but also showcased the full strength of its brands, a key driver of its dynamism.
An ambitious speech, a clear direction,
a collective determination, strong brands
Frédéric Ondet, Chairman of the Executive Board, and Michel Leroux, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, spoke at the opening of the trade show's gala evening. Both emphasized the network's resilience and reiterated the agility of the cooperative model when it combines dependence and interdependence.
Thanks to its financial pooling, Gedicoop is investing in the future and strengthening its logistics system by building a new central platform, which is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2027.
A third logistics site by the end of 2027…
Having become the leading supplier to its members through the sites owned and operated by itself, in Achiet-le-Grand (62) and Reventin-Vaugris (38), Gedicoop must meet the challenges of distribution and renovation (expansion of ranges, LS Pro and MDD, opening up to specialties and expertise, product availability) and optimize its flows (cross-docking and direct delivery).
Meeting these challenges requires complementing this system with modern, more centralized, and scalable logistics, capable of responding more quickly to its members and developing services, including e-commerce. This will stimulate the growth of points of sale.
With this third platform, Gedicoop's logistics network will be strengthened internally (currently 30% of its logistics activities are outsourced). The group will have logistical reserves and therefore the capacity to expand, allowing it to combine national ambitions with increased local sourcing for heavier products. As Frédéric Ondet points out:
"To cope with the complexity of our environment, the response can only be twofold: local independence and strengthened interdependence."
Renovation, a remedy to the new construction crisis
In a still fragile new-build market, Renovation is emerging as the main lever for development in the trade sector, and Gedicoop must be the promoter of it.
Frédéric Ondet therefore encouraged members to rely on the innovations of industrial partners and on the tools developed by the cooperative, including the strengthening of expertise and the concepts of specializations.
He also highlighted the rise of self-renovators (represented on stage by Paulo & Lulu, of which Gedimat is a partner) and their expectations.
His clear and determined speech reminded everyone that this new generation of self-renovators plays a crucial role. It must be tapped by the trade, and Gedicoop in particular, given its strengthened DNA and openness to both customer segments.
Finally, the opening speech of the evening at the Salon ended with announcements about strengthening TV and social media communication for the Gedimat and Gedibois brands, resolutely focused on renovation.
