Durable tiles, tested against hail

The thickness of ERLUS tiles provides them with strength and resistance during installation, but above all, against harsh weather and temperature variations. Tested against hail by the GBD group, they achieve the highest resistance classes. The 18 mm thick fluted "Potsdam" tile, for example, resists hailstones up to 5 cm in diameter (resistance level 5).

ERLUS's most substantial and authentic tiles are the "Hand-molded Flat" tiles (2,2 cm thick), available in a brushed, straight-cut, scale-like finish. These tiles achieve hail resistance class 5+, guaranteeing maximum protection and a long lifespan for all roofs.

Popular with French roofers, the 18 x 38 cm flat tile with a straight cut is distinguished by its 1,5 cm thickness. and its hail resistance of RG 4 level. It offers a traditional aesthetic while remaining economical, with only 36 tiles per m² for a 16,5 cm gauge. The small format 12 × 28 cm “Turret” tile, with a thickness of 1,4 cm, it also benefits from the RG 4 class.

The wide variety of formats, cuts, and finishes of flat tiles allows for easy adaptation to existing roofs, dormer windows, bell towers, or other complex architectural details. For bell tower domes or rounded roofs, ERLUS can even produce concave or convex tiles upon request. 

The smooth flat tile in 18 x 38 cm format is available in multiple shapes: scale, straight, straight with rounded corners, segmented, gothic, pointed gothic, diamond point, basket handle - which can be combined to create custom and unique roofs.

Like its flat, scale-like roof tiles, ERLUS offers a wide range of solutions for protecting heritage buildings and showcasing regional craftsmanship on roofs. Their specialized teams have in-depth knowledge of the requirements of both historical monuments and modern construction and support clients at every stage of the project.

Based on the 30 existing models, variations are always possible for custom orders. Production of these special orders takes approximately two months. If no tile available from ERLUS matches the project, ERLUS can create a new, custom-made manufacturing tool, following a feasibility study, guaranteeing tiles that are faithful to the original.

Custom production is possible for projects as small as 150 m² and is manufactured directly at the factory, offering flexibility and tailored solutions for each project. For existing stock, specific sampling helps identify the ideal replacement tile.
