LAMILUX presents its new products at the BAU 2019 trade fair
The overhead lighting specialist LAMILUX will be exhibiting at the BAU trade fair in Munich from January 14 to 19, 2019, alongside its partners Mirotec, a steel and glass specialist, and Roda, a manufacturer of daylighting and ventilation systems. The LAMILUX Group will be showcasing several new products at this leading trade fair for the construction industry.
Innovations in the fields of zenithal lighting, smoke extraction and ventilation
This triple collaboration, LAMILUX, Mirotec and Roda, covers a complete range of products and services in the techniques of zenithal lighting, smoke extraction, ventilation and heat evacuation on flat roofs.
With its well-thought-out design and numerous variations, LAMILUX has thoroughly redesigned its CIFE system glass skylight . The manufacturer is thus taking another step forward in the development of windows for flat roofs. The zenithal light offers a seamless visual appearance thanks to the integration of all components, such as motors and power supplies, within the frame. Similarly, screws and weld joints are invisible.
The new LAMILUX smoke and ventilation vent integrates seamlessly into the glass roof surface. It can be used with the LAMILUX CI PR60 glass roof element, as well as all other mullion and transom systems available on the flat roof market. The innovation of this new development lies in the vent's unique thermal technology. While it boasts an excellent U-value in its standard version, it is also available in a version certified for passive houses.
The LAMILUX CI continuous skylight system, type B, is the result of the first product collaboration between LAMILUX and Roda. It is combined with Roda's MEGAPHÖNIX smoke and ventilation damper . This thermally insulated continuous skylight features a rainproof ventilation function. Its custom versions and dimensions make it easily adaptable to any building application.
In buildings, protecting property and people is paramount, especially in the event of a fire. To meet this requirement, LAMILUX has received the European REI30 fire resistance classification for its glass roof structure. The LAMILUX CI Glasarchitektur Fire Resistance F30/REI30 system provides protection against fire and smoke for thirty minutes. The European REI30 fire resistance tests are conducted under real-world conditions, including simulations of extreme weather events. The LAMILUX glass roof passed these tests as a self-supporting structure, without requiring any specific reinforcement measures.
At BAU 2019, Roda will present its new double damper. The VenturiSmoke VS2 is an EFC smoke and heat extraction system with a ventilation function. The system offers generous dimensions: the geometry of its opening surface extends up to ten square meters, resulting in an associated effective aerodynamic opening area of 6,7 square meters.
