Installing windows and roller shutters on a polystyrene single-wall system is a technical challenge for Norba Menuiserie, a specialist in construction site joinery. Its strengths include professional expertise and tailor-made solutions for niche projects.
In Mougins, a very technical construction site
In Mougins, in the Alpes-Maritimes region, Norba Menuiserie is demonstrating its expertise on a project involving fifteen villas. The company is in charge of the interior and exterior carpentry work: a total of 130 pieces to be installed.
The complexity of the operation stems from the characteristics of the construction: a single-layer polystyrene wall. This architectural choice meets the standards for a low-energy building. The challenge lies in fixing windows and shutters to this structure while preserving the thermal envelope and maintaining the wall's uniformity . This requires a tunnel installation – different from a traditional surface-mounted installation – and increased attention to sealing and the quality of the fixings.
In total, an eleven-month project which illustrates the evolution of the carpentry market and of which Norba Menuiserie is one of the main players.
A great capacity for adaptation
As a true market innovator, Norba Menuiserie has embraced low energy consumption and adapted its offerings to this new reality. The company boasts extensive experience in this field, as a third of its revenue is generated in Switzerland, where the Minergie label has been a reality for nearly 10 years.
Its teams are also working on new fastening techniques as well as issues of safety, acoustic constraints, cost and materials.
Norba Menuiserie's strength also lies in offering complete solutions by intervening from design to installation , at the interface between suppliers and customers.
Ensuring and maintaining quality at its highest level is a strong commitment of the company

Key men: the site managers
Norba Menuiserie uses highly technical skills to meet the needs of its customers. At the heart of this system, site managers play a key role.
The company employs around fifty technicians who act as the interface between the client, suppliers, and construction site stakeholders. Their mission is multifaceted: they coordinate projects and manage orders, select service providers, and supervise work. As the client's sole point of contact, they support them at every stage of the project, from the assessment, definition, and implementation phases of objectives, acting as the true bosses of the project.
As true experts, site managers are familiar with standards, technical and administrative directives and help to enhance the value of clients' investments.
