A new generation of concealed cisterns designed for installers

Installing a concealed cistern involves several critical steps: adjusting the height, securing it, connecting the drain, and installing the toilet bowl. To design its new range, Wirquin drew on feedback from professionals to identify the challenges encountered on construction sites and to refine the key installation elements.

The CHRONO+ , the first model in this range, incorporates several improvements designed to simplify the work of installers. Its corrosion-resistant metal chassis features a reinforced, NF-certified structure capable of supporting up to 400 kg , ensuring stability and long-term durability.

Technical developments to speed up installation

Several features integrated into the frame minimize on-site adjustments. A marking positioned directly one meter away on the frame facilitates immediate height adjustment without the need for additional measurements.

The pre-assembled feet now feature a braking system that automatically maintains the selected height during adjustments. Their oblong holes also simplify floor mounting, a step that can be time-consuming during installation.

The tunnel has also been redesigned. It now serves as an installation template and remains in place after installation to limit contact between the plasterboard and any potential moisture. A protective cardboard box, installed at the factory, protects the tank throughout the construction process.

Easy adaptation to different sanitary configurations

The CHRONO+ concealed cistern maintains a width of 36 cm , allowing it to be integrated into numerous installation configurations. The toilet bowl height remains adjustable from 270 to 450 mm , offering greater flexibility depending on the project constraints.

The equipment is supplied with an adaptable sleeve without cutting, a straight or 90° angled drain pipe and an S-shaped downpipe. These elements are designed to facilitate connection while ensuring a durable installation.

On a daily basis, the insulated tank helps reduce filling noise. The F90 tap , integrated into the CHRONO+, ensures fast and quiet filling.

Simplified access to components during maintenance operations

Beyond the installation phase, Wirquin has also improved maintenance procedures. The CHRONO+ features a new Easy Clip control plate mounting system , designed to allow for quick removal and reinstallation during maintenance operations.

The reinforced axle support improves the stability of the flushing mechanism, while its extended support ensures compatibility with thicker walls. These improvements aim to facilitate interventions by installers and maintenance teams throughout the product's lifespan.

To support these operations, a QR code is now featured on the packaging and the control panel. Accessible via smartphone, it provides direct access to assembly instructions, spare parts lists, maintenance guides, and installation and maintenance videos.

A design geared towards reducing the carbon footprint This new generation of concealed cisterns is part of Wirquin's Smart For Good environmental approach. The entire range features expanded polystyrene (EPS) cistern insulation , a solution that reduces the carbon footprint by 47% compared to a double-walled cistern, while maintaining equivalent protection against condensation. Several components also incorporate recycled plastics, including the tank, the tunnel, the elbow pipe, the flange, and certain parts of the flushing mechanism. Furthermore, dual-flush mechanisms and refill systems contribute to more economical water management. By improving the installation, maintenance, and design of its concealed cisterns, Wirquin is addressing the needs expressed by installers in the field. This new generation aims to reduce intervention times while simplifying equipment maintenance and incorporating design choices to limit their environmental impact.
