AERO CIME d'EDILIANS
Summary for decision-makers
Summary for decision-makers
EDILIANS' AERO CIME system offers waterproofing and vapor permeability for pitched roofs, suitable for both plains and mountain areas up to 2000 m altitude. Designed for new construction and renovation projects, even on complex structures, it guarantees effective protection where conventional roofing elements are insufficient.
The AERO CIME membrane, tested under extreme conditions by the CSTB, retains its integrity after 11 years of use and is resistant to UV rays, weathering, and tearing. Easy to install thanks to a double adhesive strip, the system includes validated accessories and meets the European regulations, as part of an environmental and sustainable approach.
Designed for demanding climates, both in the plains and in the mountains, AERO CIME is the new process launched by EDILIANS. Lighter, faster, and simpler to install than bituminous solutions, this complete waterproofing system complements the ATEx underlayment guarantees optimal protection for sloping roofs against extreme climatic constraints.
New additional waterproofing membrane for under-roofing on sloping roofs
Reliable waterproofing that stands up to any test
Thanks to its advanced technical design, which consists of a non-woven polyester support coated with a polyacrylate coating on its upper layer, the EDILIANS AERO CIME process ensures watertightness and water vapour permeability of sloping roofs located in plain and mountain climates up to 2000 m in altitude.
Suitable for both new and renovation projects, even on the most complex structures, its reliability makes it effective even in cases where the building configuration does not allow small roofing elements (tiles, shingles, flagstones, etc.) to guarantee complete protection of the building. The AERO CIME process also handles demanding cases of lowering the slope of EDILIANS terracotta tiles, subject to validation by its design office.
With unfailing durability, it has an R3 tensile strength allowing it to be installed on a continuous support, on insulation or directly on rafters with a maximum spacing of 90 cm (on plains).
In the form of rolls 26 m long and 2,5 m wide, AERO CIME DBA, with an integrated double adhesive strip, facilitates the installation of the membrane, it guarantees impeccable air and water tightness between the strip junctions.
For use in the mountains (between 900 and 1500 m altitude), EDILIANS offers a complete range of NF Montagne certified clay tiles. These include the highly curved OMEGA 10 and OMEGA 13 Ste Foy tiles, the slightly curved H10 Huguenot or PV 10 Huguenot tiles, and the slightly curved flat-profile tiles such as the ALPHA 10 Ste Foy.
Flexibility and ease of installation
As proof, if any were needed, of its durability and reliability, the EDILIANS AERO CIME DBA process was tested by the CSTB in real conditions after 11 years of use at an altitude of 1200 m. The results are unequivocal: even after more than a decade of exposure, the product retains characteristics almost identical to the original (10-year guarantee). Validated by a committee of independent experts, these performances attest to the reliability and safety of the system.
Flexible, lightweight and highly tear-resistant, the AERO CIME waterproofing membrane is easy to handle, even in the most difficult installation conditions. Installed by overlapping perpendicular to the gutter with battens or parallel on rafters, it also offers great flexibility on construction sites thanks to its long-lasting resistance to UV (10,000 hours) and bad weather (up to 1 month in the open air) validated by ATEx (Technical Experimental Assessment), a guarantee of reliability and recognition among professionals and insurers alike.
AERO CIME, a more than complete system
For reliable, efficient and sustainable implementation, the AERO CIME process is offered with a wide range of accessories essential for the treatment of singular points validated by the CSTB:
Manufactured according to strict European standards and complying with the requirements of the REACH regulationThe new AERO CIME process is fully aligned with EDILIANS' environmental and sustainable strategy. It also perfectly illustrates its commitment, as a key player in eco-housing, to offering a range of complete systems born from the synergies between the tile and all roofing elements, including waterproofing.
