Summary for decision-makers

Weber has developed a new cold mix, weberep route, for repairing asphalt surfaces. Designed for use in both public works and the renovation of garden or driveway paths, this product is aimed at public works companies, local authorities, municipal technical departments, as well as tradespeople, landscapers, and individuals.

Weberep road cold mix is ready to use in all seasons, allows for immediate return to service, and offers advantageous characteristics for those wishing to undertake more responsible work. It is solvent-free, made from plant-based binders, contains 35% recycled aggregates, and is packaged in a recycled bucket.

Asphalt is a mixture of gravel, sand, and bitumen used for roadworks. These roads can be subject to various problems, such as wear and tear due to road traffic, poor workmanship, or even weather conditions. Weberep Route addresses these problems by pouring it directly into the area to be repaired and then solidifying through compaction. Its durability is optimal because it resists freeze-thaw cycles as well as de-icing salts.

Weberep route is also complementary to Weber pad sealing mortars and can act as a finishing coat after sealing the hatch with mortar.

Additionally, this new product contributes to the "Resources and Circularity" pillar of the Weber Engagés range. It is made from plant-based binder and recycled aggregates, and is packaged in a 25 kg recycled bucket. Its indicative price is €30 excluding VAT per bucket.

Always with a view to providing the best possible support to those involved in construction and public works, Weber has developed a new cold mix for repairing bituminous soils.

Weberep black cold asphalt road

Technical solution dedicated to roadworks but also to the renovation of garden or garage paths, weberep route de WEBER is aimed at public works companies, communities and technical departments of municipalities as well as craftsmen, landscapers and individuals. Ready to use, in all seasons, promoting immediate return to service, its technical performance is combined with product characteristics and advantages that may interest stakeholders who wish to commit to more responsible work: solvent-free, based on plant-based binder[1], it includes 35% recycled aggregates in its composition and is also packaged in a recycled bucket.

Performance and durability

Remember that an asphalt mix is a mixture of gravel, sand and bitumen binder, mainly used for roadworks. These can be subject to various disorders, such as wear related to road traffic, poor workmanship (bearing capacity, thickness, inadequate wearing course, etc.) or even the climate (freeze/thaw cycle, temperature variations, UV rays). This results in small pathologies (cracks, wanes, feathering, alopecia, crazing, bleeding) leading to the appearance of potholes: it is these cracks that the new Weber black cold asphalt will treat.

Ready to use, weberep road is poured directly into the area to be treated (after having dusted it and possibly removed any stagnant water). Solidified by compaction with rammer, vibrating plate or rammer (2 to 6 cm per compaction layer for a total thickness of approximately 14 cm), weberep road has the advantage of being immediately put back into circulation. As for its durability, it proves to be optimal since it is insensitive to freeze/thaw cycles and de-icing salts.

It should be noted that this new product is also complementary to Weber stamp sealing mortars (webercel mass / webercel trap+ / webercel trap). In fact, the weberep road asphalt can act as a finishing coat after sealing the hatch with mortar, for a perfectly homogeneous black asphalt finish with the rest of the road.

Finally, this new solution contributes to the pillar “Resources and Circularity” from the Weber Engagés[2] range since it is designed from plant binder and 35% recycled aggregates, and packaged in a 25 kg recycled bucket.
