JOUPLAST - Pedestals for paving, wood or composite terraces

A major player in the outdoor design market, JOUPLAST® has developed a multitude of solutions to meet all decking projects. The brand offers two ranges of pedestals: one dedicated to laying paving decking, the other to installing wood or composite decking. In addition, three new accessories are available this year, useful for the success of the project.

For paving terraces, the standard and self-leveling ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® pedestals meet all construction site constraints: concrete slab or rough ground, slope, poorly leveled or uneven ground, sand, etc. For wooden or composite terraces, JOUPLAST® offers standard pedestals, to which is added the Elevo® pedestal which can be positioned on a metal pile, without having to excavate or prepare the ground in any particular way.

In 2024, the JOUPLAST® pedestal family will be expanded with three accessories used for finishing and laying terraces.

Build a paving terrace

ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® plots

To create a paved terrace, JOUPLAST® offers ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® pedestals made from 100% recycled polypropylene. Standard or self-leveling, these pedestals are ideal for creating outdoor pedestrian terraces in tiles, ceramics, paving, or decking. Standard pedestals are installed on a flat, even ground with no difference in level beyond 1,5%. Equipped with a pivot-mounted head, self-leveling pedestals are used for installation on uneven and/or irregular ground and can compensate for slopes of up to 5%.

The height of the ESSENTIEL pedestals can be increased up to 470 mm for the standards and 485 mm for the self-leveling ones (by combining them with extensions of different sizes: 10, 25 or 60 mm).

The patented CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® range consists of standard pedestals (from 28 to 470 mm high) and self-leveling pedestals (from 40 to 470 mm), with the use of risers for heights above 230 mm. For optimal installation, they offer 3 levels of use: pre-adjustment of the pedestals with the screw bit at the start of the project, manual height adjustment with the nut during the project, and height adjustment with the CLEMAN® key (without removing the paving) at the end of the project.

JOUPLAST® slab plates: For side finishes

Made from recycled polypropylene, JOUPLAST® slab panels are positioned on the top of ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® pedestals at the edge of the terrace. They support and stabilize the slabs cut to be attached to a wall. Along the edges or in the corners, they allow a skirting board or a clip-on finishing profile to be held vertically.

Build a wooden or composite terrace

Standard and Elevo® JOUPLAST® plots

For wooden or composite decking for pedestrian use, the standard adjustable pedestals and the Elevo® JOUPLAST® pedestal made from 100% recycled polypropylene are easy to use, effective, and economical. The head of these pedestals is equipped with a support tab for securing the joist.

Designed for installation on regular flat ground, the height of standard pedestals can be increased up to 470 mm by combining them with extensions above 230 mm high.

Equipped with a specific base, the Elevo® pedestal can be positioned on a metal pile (anchor pile type not supplied). Perfect for building a wooden or composite deck without specific preparation, this pedestal, adjustable in height from 43 to 138 mm (i.e. an adjustment range of 95 mm from the top surface of the pile), does not require any excavation or specific ground preparation. The height of the Elevo® pedestal can be increased with ESSENTIEL 60 mm risers.

What's New in 2024

Slab support kit: An impeccable side finish

To complete its range of solutions for side finishing, JOUPLAST® is launching the slab support kit. Compatible with ESSENTIEL and CLEMAN® pedestals, this product prevents slabs from tipping over at the edge of a terrace or against a wall by eliminating overhang.

The JOUPLAST® kit is used for heights under slabs between 45 and 65 mm. It is also possible to use up to 2 risers (i.e. 40 mm of additional height) for heights under slabs up to 105 mm.

CLEMAN® adjustment key: Precision of movement

Particularly robust, the CLEMAN® JOUPLAST® adjustment key offers a good grip. Highly precise, it can correct up to 1 mm of misalignment (the equivalent of a quarter turn), once the covering is installed.

A mini for a wooden or composite terrace

JOUPLAST® is constantly developing its offering to meet the specific needs of each project. This year, the manufacturer is expanding its range with the smallest adjustable pedestal on the market. Designed for creating wooden or composite decks, this 8 to 20 mm adjustable pedestal is particularly quick and easy to install (no heavy earthworks required). It can be used on stabilized ground or concrete slabs and can be combined with a 5 mm extension.
